The Sow Dragon is produced in Jiangxi. In shape it is like a dragon but shorter, and it can fly across; it often comes out along the river-bank to catch geese and ducks. When one is hunted and caught, its flesh is sold to the families of Chen and Ke, who are descendants of Chen Youliang and have eaten Sow Dragon flesh for generations; no other clan dare eat it. A traveler coming from Jiangyou once caught one and tethered it in his boat. One day, as he anchored at Qiantang, the cord worked loose and the creature leaped into the river. Presently great waves arose, and the merchant boat capsized and sank.
